PC Mag blogger Lance Ulanoff has some excellent coverage of his experiences with Google Buzz so far. He’s got some great points about how overwhelming Google Buzz probably is for the millions of new users who’ve not been engaged in Social Media but were thrown head first into the world of Google Buzz. We’ve been covering Google Buzz alot lately but I think it’s good to step back and get some perspective. Most casual visitors use social media tools like twitter because they’re extremely simple, and that’s something that Google may have messed up on here.

Aside from the obvious concerns about privacy and whether or not something is public or private and the massive amount of confusion that most people who are using Google Buzz are enduring at this point, it’s also worth noting that the actual interface can be a bit confusing as well. The good news? Google is reacting, and they’re reacting quickly. I think over the coming weeks we’ll see a number of really high quality enhancements to buzz that should greatly enhance the end user experience. However, with Google’s constant trend of releasing products into beta, it does beg the question, why did they release this product to the mass public without testing it further?
